You’ll be a part of a team that is building one of the highest-rated mobile banking apps in the industry and used by millions of people. This role will be a lot of user interface (UI) work in Figma, helping our clients express their brand through UI and helping to produce components for our design system. This will be an excellent role if you enjoy getting nerdy about building components, auto-layout, and design details. You’ll be exposed to broader feature work and be part of our core mobile team. A senior designer will be paired with you for frequent collaboration, coaching, and mentorship.

Job Duties

• Work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and account managers to create usable, useful, and delightful mobile banking experiences.
• Participate in research and communicate insights to help your team understand user problems and needs.
• Prototype ideas and gather feedback on design concepts throughout the design and development process
• Create well-crafted UI components in Figma
• Create and deliver design specs that effectively communicate goals, implementation and interaction details
• Regularly share your ideas to your team and stakeholders through presentations and documentation
  

Basic Requirements

• Education in user experience design or relevant coursework and/or background in visual or graphic design
• Portfolio of work that showcases your design process from ideation to high-fidelity prototypes
• Proven figma skills such as: auto layout, component instancing, ability to work with a design system

Work Environment

At MX, we utilize a hybrid work model, which allows us to attract top talent and increase impact through collaboration. Our team members enjoy a balance of remote work and in-office days. Travel expectations for remote employees is about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees. Local employees will utilize in-office time on a weekly basis Tuesday through Thursday. Both local and remote employees can take advantage of our incredible office space with onsite perks like company-paid meals, onsite massage therapist, golf simulator, and meditation room to name a few.

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $83,000 to $99,500. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
