User Experience Designer

As a UX Designer, you will work with fast-paced and matrixed development teams who build software for laboratories and hospitals. You will apply your knowledge of software design principles, human factors principles, techniques and design best/emerging practice to produce experiences that meet and exceed customer needs and business needs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complicated data
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Ability to co-present and defend design and research findings to stakeholders
  • Strong desire to participate consistently in a greater design team
  • Ability to present work and findings in a compelling and persuasive manner

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and document complex and original Lab software user interfaces using journey maps, Jobs to be Done frameworks, personas, wireframes, and prototypes; actively solicits the involvement of team members to ensure cross-product coordination, feasibility, and consistency
  • Work closely with team members to develop software designs that reflect an understanding of the Jobs to Be Done and requirements
  • Partner with the User Experience Research team and Requirements Engineers to schedule and ingest insights from customer feedback/usability sessions
  • Conduct heuristic reviews of screens and applications
  • Serve as an internal expert in usability and accessibility, design methods, mentoring less-experienced team members
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours
  • Travel to client sites that can pose risks associated with healthcare organization.
  • May be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $84,000 to $115,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidateโ€™s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
