SLC have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate UX Designer to join our Customer Experience team within the wider Product, Customer and External Relations directorate. The Associate UX Designer position is a hybrid of the Government Digital and Data Profession interaction designer and user researcher roles, meaning that you will need to be comfortable doing either role on a project as required. In this role, you will work in multi-disciplinary teams alongside senior members of the wider UX team, content designers, analysts and developers, to deliver world-class, user-centred services for customers and colleagues.
SLC offer a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
Person Specification
- Very good communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders, demonstrating both excellent team skills and autonomous work capabilities
- Passion for user-centered design practices and Agile methodologies, with a solid understanding of interaction design across different devices
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills, efficiently managing multiple workstreams while maintaining attention to detail
- Active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful questions to deeply understand project requirements and user needs
- Proven ability to manage and organise large amounts of information while maintaining a systematic approach to design solutions
