The Department of Administration (ADOA) - Arizona Strategic Enterprise Technology (ASET) Office develops and executes the statewide IT strategy for Arizona state government and provides IT infrastructure and services to state agencies to ensure continuity of mission-critical and essential systems. ASET is managed by Arizona’s State CIO and serves as an information technology leader for the State of Arizona government.
The Digital Solutions Office (DSO) is focused on enabling integrated and personalized digital experiences that empower and improve the lives of individuals, businesses, and visitors to Arizona. The office will do so by collaborating across multiple programs and agencies.
Our team is seeking a motivated UX Research Intern who is passionate about enhancing user experiences through insightful research and analysis. The UX Research Intern will support user-centered design initiatives and help ensure that our digital solutions meet the needs and expectations of our diverse user base.

Job Duties:
- Assist in conducting user research to gather insights on user behavior, needs, and motivations through methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics.
- Help analyze research findings and contribute to actionable recommendations to inform design and development decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate user research findings into the product development process.
- Support the development and maintenance of user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts to communicate user insights and drive user-centered design practices.
- Participate in the user research process, from planning and recruitment to data collection, analysis, and reporting. Advocate for the user and ensure that user experience considerations are integrated into all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX research and apply them to enhance our research methodologies and processes.

Selective Preference(s):
- Currently pursuing a degree in UX Research, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with a variety of research tools and methodologies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and analytics.
- Basic knowledge of UX design principles, human-computer interaction, and the ability to collaborate effectively with design and development teams.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university program
