Calling all Graduates! Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career with industry leading training and mentoring? If so, then look no further…

As part of our 2024 Graduate programme, we’re looking for a UX Designer to join the team. In this role you’ll play a mission critical role, using empathic methods to design and deliver products and services that delight our users. You’ll be part of a small team so your role will combine both elements of UX Design and UX research, so you’ll have the opportunity to hone your skills in a broad role.

Throughout the 2-year Graduate programme and your career at Sage, we want you to be enthusiastic about your personal development, and continuously learn new things to strive for excellence. We expect a lot from our Graduates and will encourage you to bring innovative ideas to add real value for our customers, in an environment where ambition for future progression is rewarded.

Our UX Designers combine user knowledge with analysis and artistry.

They:

  • Are inspired by first-hand user engagement and immersed in user context and the problem domain.
  • Transform complex business scenarios into useful solutions that are easy to learn, and efficient to use, meeting the exact needs of the user with simplicity and elegance.
  • Delight users with extraordinary emotional experiences, delivering innovative, great-looking, and uniquely ‘Sage’ experiences that users love.
  • Design for the whole - end-to-end user journeys, across Sage Business Cloud, and for Sage’s design language system.

What are we looking for?

As this is a Graduate scheme, you’ll need to be educated to degree level, ideally within a related field, though we are open to people of any Degree discipline. You’ll be provided with training and support throughout your career with us, so whilst the following criteria will help you thrive in role, they are not all absolute essentials.

  • Communication skills to effectively convey design decisions and rationale.
  • Problem-solving skills to address user needs and design challenges.
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability to iterate on designs based on feedback and research insight.
  • Empathy to understand user perspectives and motivations.
  • Analytical skills to derive insights from research data.
  • Experience of Qualitative and quantitative research skills and UI design skills: creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, would be advantageous.

This role is based from our Newcastle office with Hybrid working available. What you can expect from the process
