Overview:

Recharge is looking for a curious and resourceful Product Designer Intern from Santa Monica College for a 6-week period from January 6 to February 14 2025. This is a part-time, contract position of 10 hours per week and the rate of pay is $30 per hour.

What you'll do:

  • You've learned a lot in your design program, now you'll have the opportunity to apply these skills to real business challenges, while receiving constructive feedback to refine your craft.
  • Work on an exciting project to evaluate and improve the user experience (UX) of our internal tools, aligning them with our established design system.
  • Help assess the current state of our merchant/admin application, identifying usability issues and proposing actionable improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members, including observing and learning from experienced designers and product leadership.

What you'll bring:

  • You're a curious self starter.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a remote-first environment.
  • Experience with design fundamentals and a portfolio to showcase your skills.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Ability to identify problems and develop thoughtful design solutions based on user needs and best practices.
  • Passion for product design with a clear focus on application/software development.
