About the SAP Internship Experience Program

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP iXp Intern - User Experience Design

Location: Vancouver, BC

Expected Start Date: January 2024

Contract Duration: 8 months

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Are you passionate about design and helping others make sense of software and technology in their daily work? Do you have a desire to flex your design and language skills to create people-centric user experiences?

If so, our Data & Analytics Design team is looking for motivated individuals to design and advocate for users within our data and analytics cloud services.

Our global design team is constantly in pursuit of fresh innovations with the most user-friendly and modern cloud experiences. Ideal candidates are data-driven in their work, strive to truly understand the needs of our users, and are excited to collaborate with other User Experience designers, User researchers, and Development to create useable products. Cross-functional collaboration and clear communication is a key to success in this role.

In this role, you will be part of our multi-disciplinary design team that includes user experience designers, user researchers and user assistance writers.

  • Create process flows, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate and conceptualize detailed interactions for a variety of environments and users
  • Collaborate with colleagues across all levels, teams, location and have the willingness to take ownership of UX topics
  • Assist team members with mockups and design prototypes from low to high fidelity as needed
  • Participate in cross-department initiatives to improve tools, processes, and content
  • Adopt a data-driven approach to your work
  • Act as an advocate for an excellent user experience

What you bring:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate program in Human Computer Interaction, UX Design, Computer Science, or other related experience
  • Proven ability to work proactively, independently and collaboratively with all levels of an organization

Additional Preferred skills:

  • Experience in working with User-Centered Design principles
  • Knowledge of UX software for wireframe and prototype creation (e.g., Figma,etc.)
  • Basic understanding of user experience design, user research, and synthesis methodologies
  • Keen eye for detail, critical thinking and an open mind to receive and provide feedback
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills
