Dentsu Creative Cape Town is seeking a passionate and talented UI/UX Designer Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced designers and contribute to the creation of innovative digital experiences for our global clients. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate user needs into functional and visually appealing designs. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in both UI and UX design, from wireframing and prototyping to user testing and interaction design, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities:
- Assist with Digital web and product design, defining web UI toolkits and web architectures
- Assist in creating sitemaps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes based on user requirements.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback.
- Collaborate with the design team to produce high-quality design solutions.
- Support the development of design guidelines, style guides, and other design documentation.
- Contribute to brainstorming and idea-generation sessions.
- Research and prepare media assets in support of new design concepts and create working storyboards
- Repurpose existing ATL elements into digital components
- Keep abreast of industry design developments, trends and technology.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently finished a degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or Digital Design related field.
- A portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and processes.
- Eager to learn and open to feedback, with excellent communication skills
