User Experience Designer Co-Op

If you are an engineering or interface design student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based at our Eden Prairie, MN location, you will get the opportunity to work as a UX Designer Co-Op on a team that will help you to grow and develop as an engineer/designer. This is a full-time Co-Op position, 40 hours per week. Starting in June 2025 and ending in December 2025.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work with software engineers to design utilities, proof of concept software, and product code in support of product development projects
  • Support and assist with the cloud development team.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Discover and explore new interests in your field prior to graduation.
  • Apply learned technical skills from the classroom to real world engineering projects.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Graphic Design, Information Design, or Software Engineering
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for the full duration June to December 2025 at the Eden Prairie, MN office
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Junior or Senior status preferred
  • Knowledge of Figma
  • Knowledge of whiteboarding tools (Lucid, Miro, FigJam)
  • Knowledge of project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira)
