A technical design role that bridges visual design and front-end development to elevate our product design and prototyping practice.
Role Overview: This position combines design thinking with technical execution to accelerate our product development process. The UX Design Engineer will work closely with our design and engineering teams to create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that validate design concepts and technical feasibility across our web (React) and iOS platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create advanced interactive prototypes to validate design concepts, user flows, and animations before full development
- Partner with UX designers to bring conceptual ideas to life through code, ensuring design fidelity and optimal user experience
- Build and maintain a library of reusable prototype components that align with our design system
- Lead the advancement of our prototyping practice and tools, establishing best practices and workflows
- Support design reviews with working prototypes that demonstrate interaction patterns, transitions, and responsive behaviors
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure prototype concepts can be efficiently translated into production code
Ideal Background:
- Strong foundation in UX design principles combined with hands-on front-end development experience
- Expertise in React and modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
- Experience with design and prototyping tools like Figma, ProtoPie, Framer or similar
- Experience with iOS prototyping tools and development patterns
- Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate on design concepts
- Understanding of design systems and component-based architecture

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $52.70/hour - $82.35/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
