UX Designer

We are looking for an accomplished Product Designer to create amazing experiences. You have experience with a broad range of design skills (such as product strategy, user design systems, user experience or visual design); with 1+ years of experience in 1 or 2 of these areas. You have experience understanding both end-user needs and our goals, with the ability to translate these requirements into designs. You are comfortable working in an Agile development environment, and able to iterate based on customer and partner feedback. You will join a team that applies user-centered techniques through design and evaluation. You will collaborate with other professionals in user experience, product management and product development.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will transform our requirements and user research into modern and delightful product designs, while using user-centered design methods.
  • You will pursue an understanding of users, their goals, environments, and pain points. Apply this knowledge to improve designs and increase user satisfaction in our products.
  • You will help define product strategy, using product metrics, user feedback and market research to lead design direction.
  • You will create design deliverables ranging from low fidelity wireframes to high fidelity prototypes, using UI components from our established design system.
  • You will stay involved in the entire product lifecycle, from early discovery to release. Apply a mindset of continuous improvement post product launch.
  • You will present design concepts to peers and partners, while providing rationale to support your design decisions.
  • You will use and contribute new components and design patterns to our growing design system.
  • You will give and receive critical design feedback to improve quality of design.
  • You will display colaboration skills.
  • You will keep informed of industrial automation trends and competitive software product offerings.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Product/User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design or a related field. Or, equivalent demonstrated experience and expertise.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • 1 year of experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design or a related field.
  • Proficiency using modern design tools such as Figma®, Axure®, Balsamiq®, or Sketch®.
  • 1 year of experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • 1 year of experience with one or more product design methodologies, such as Design Thinking, Lean, SAFe or Product Led Growth.
  • Product design skills with a portfolio of work.
  • Understanding of front-end development frameworks (eg. HTML, CSS, Angular)
  • 1 year of experience with geographically distributed development teams.
  • 1 year of experience in industrial automation domain.
  • 1 year of experience in internationalization and cross-cultural design.
