UX Research Intern

Material Bank is seeking a UX Research Intern, to play a vital role in understanding user needs and behaviors. You'll work closely with our design and product teams to conduct user research, analyze data, and generate actionable insights that drive product decisions.

What You’ll Do:

  • User Research:
    • Assist in planning and conducting mixed-method user research studies, including user interviews, surveys, concept tests, usability tests, and A/B tests.
    • Segment, recruit, and screen participants for research studies.
    • Conduct user interviews and moderate usability tests.
    • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze user research data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
    • Create data visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
    • Develop user personas, jobs to be done (JTBD), and journey maps to represent user needs and behaviors.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other researchers, data analysts, designers, product managers, and engineers
    • Present research findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Pursuing a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in user experience research and design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau).
  • Proficiency in user research methodologies and tools a plus (e.g., UserTesting, Hotjar, Qualtrics).
  • Proficiency with professional design tools a plus (e.g., Figma, Photoshop).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
